An invitation to wise AI-mindlessness.
CSY Lab is a working platform that digs into the black box of AI and reveals the limits of humanity. I research and illustrate what happens when we outsource thinking to machines – and what remains human for us then. I approach AI critically, creatively and, above all, from a human perspective.
In a world where the computer says yes, we have to ask why.
AI is more than technology; it is a cultural and moral phenomenon that reflects and amplifies the biases of our society. My lab gives organisations the tools to see AI as a mirror that reveals our own blind spots and our narcissistic tendencies.
I help people understand how systems use cognitive sugar syrup to shape our choices. The aim is to help organisations ask the right questions – and avoid becoming the foolish users of smart machines.
Techno-philosophical talks on AI, humanity and the future of decision-making. I focus on understanding the basic principles and operating logic of AI systems.
Hands-on exercises and sparring that support the development of critical slow thinking and algorithmic literacy.
I advise organisations on the strategic adoption of AI and train staff to use AI effectively in their everyday work.
I carry out experimental projects that test the limits of AI in creative work. I study how algorithms interpret meaning and make choices.
“Thank you for explaining complicated things so that everybody understands in their context.”
– Listener, International Tool Fair, Sopot 2026
What do you say when a young person asks how much water AI uses? The honest answer, what 40,000 young people said, three ready-to-run sessions for a group and one question for someone who decides. For youth workers, teachers and parents. Based on a TF Talk at the International Tool Fair, Sopot 2026.
Estimate and compare how much energy and water creative work uses – done by hand or with the help of AI.
Three practical exercises: prompts in your organisation’s own voice, your own AI agent and one concrete step for next week. Created for the training of the Tekoälyä ja aitoa osallisuutta (AI and genuine participation) project (Humak 2026). Free for organisations to use. In Finnish.
A collection of practical tips and links for artists: protecting your own work from AI, wise AI-mindlessness and ecological/safe use. Compiled to support the lecture “AI through an artist’s eyes” (Tekoäly taiteilijan silmin) given to artists’ organisations. In Finnish.
The Black Box is a journey of exploration into a world where algorithms, artificial intelligence and invisible systems shape our emotions, our choices and our communities. We have entered the Age of Non-Intelligence: either we become the foolish users of smart machines, or we learn to use them wisely. AI works inside a black box, a system whose workings we cannot see but whose effects we feel. This book invites you to look beneath the surface. In Finnish.
To help organisations develop AI that understands people – not AI that replaces them.
AI-mindlessness is not a return to the past but a reminder that technology needs people beside it – not in their place. My goal is to close the digital divide and give agency back to organisations, so that you can develop AI that supports the human ability to think.
